u can make the moves fast or slow

  2. Tap is not that easy to find songs to dance to. But, I go to a dance school and I know exacly what you should try dancing to. These songs have good beats but are definently not for everyone. I hope that they are for you.

Both songs are from Happy Feet.

Hit me up - Gia Farrel - Availible on iTunes

Boogie Wonderland - Patti LaBelle - Availible o iTunes

  3. hi hi, i am a tap dancer myself. the best tap dances my class did were to greece lighting, and swing the mood by jive bunny something..... (can't remember the whole group name srry). we did those as a class with 5 people so i don't no how good they'll be 4 a solo but u should check them out.

  5. Hi Sally,

I'm not an expert on tap, but I love to watch.  Goodness gracious, if I could move my feet that fast and be so precise in making sound, I would never stop doing so, just because I'm so used to trying to make no sound at all when I dance.

Anyway, I would try something big-band-ish and classic sounding.  I know that sounds clichéd, but with certain dance forms (tap is pretty much number one on this list), stereotypes can be used to your advantage to make the dance charming and interesting.

Try Michael Bublé or artists like that.  Ska is a cool genre, but I'm not sure how well that would work out.  Like I said, I'm no expert on choreographing, dancing, or picking out music for tap, but I think it would be pretty interesting to milk a stereotype like that.  Perhaps put a spin on it and make it kind of funny.

Sorry this couldn't be more precise and well-informed.  I'm sure your best answer is going to be a tap dancer, as it should be, but I thought it might help to get the perspective of an observer and one like your audience.  Good luck with your solo and keep dancing!♥
