What are good toys for my gerbil and what tricks and you teach them?

i have a gerbil but he seems quite bored, id like to get him some good toys for him to play with. i would also like to tame him and teach him a few tricks. does anyone know any easy tricks and how to teach them.

I taught my gerbil a great trick but my answer would be more appropriate for an adult section.

if you have a cage with bars you can put a treat by its head and move it up to make him climb! you also could get him chewing toys and a ball! also give him treats
