Well, not all the players meet real life standards in that game and some of the players are way worse than they are this season but trade whoever has the biggest average or what ever they call it. Ooo and make your own team and make it a superstar team!

so trade him for 2 first round pick will be probably in the top 10 one of them and get a player  like Mike camaleri now thats a good trade for the leafs and Kings

Depends on which season you're on.  If you just purchase NHL 08 and starting a new Dynasty, try to make trades for Fleury, Staal, Crosby, Ovechkin, Richards, Briere, Zetterberg, etc.  Try to get a solid goalie.  Basically, try getting some or a few superstars from the years 2003 to present.
