What are good vacation spots for summer?

Question

me and my family are trying to plan a vacation somewhere this summer sometime in august.

i am 14 and my brother is 16 so being "tired" or anything like that is not going to happen.

we live in california and we can travel anywhere in the united states, to canada or mexico.

and we don't have to drive either.

if any of you have a great place to vacation that you have been to, please help us!!! thank you!!!!!!!!

I think that Banff, Alberta is a wonderful place for a family vacation.  It's beautiful, easy to get to from Cali, and there are lots of different types of activities.

If you are coming for 5 or more days, I recommend renting a house/condo to stay in.  There are many to choose from, they are cheaper than a hotel, you can make some of your own meals, and most come complete with books, games, computer, etc.
