  1. Well, at the grocerie store, dont use the plastic bags, use those ones made of fibers and reuse them.

  2. 1) obviously, recycle (belive it or not, recycled water bottles can be used to make blankets). buy recycled paper and such.

    2) use those spirally lightbulbs rather than the typical round one because they save energy. with that said, use less lights in a room because it doesn't need to be that bright. just open the blinds/curtains.

    3) actually unplug your tvs, computers, etc when not in use. even though you turn them off, they are still using electricty.

    4) get solar panels and drive a hybrid car. dont get an SUV

    5) eat less food and really try to control your cravings. less food = less waste. this also applies to anything else. do you really need so many clothes, writing utensils, and such?

    6) don't eat cows because their farts and burps, which cause 23 times more damage than car pollution, have methane.

    7) don't use hairspray.

    8) if you write big, write smaller to save paper.

    9) try not to use the heater. wear more clothes.

    10) shopping: go once for many hours, rather then many times for one hour.

    11) plant trees.

    12) adopt from shelters.

    13) don't have so many pets/children. fewer pets/children = less material needed.

    14) don't turn on the sink water so it's like full blast.

    15) if you have 2 hot and cold water k***s for the shower, use more hot water, and less cold water to overall use less water. and dont take baths.

    16) only run the dishwasher when it's full.

  3. Carbon trading and Flexible mechanisms

The issue has suddenly become far from abstract. Extreme weather conditions have brought home the fact that our climate is changing and changing fast. It may be easy to be fatalistic about it, but the truth is that although we humans have caused the problem, we also have the solution. Think global and act local.

Count your food miles. What we eat and where we buy it affects global emissions. Pollution from transfort is the fastest growing source of carbon dioxide emissions.

Recycle newspapers. Use the recycle bin.

Turn off anything that winks. A video recorder on standby uses almost as much electricity as one playing a tape.

Let the worm do the work. Half of our waste is biodegradable. Buy kitchen compost bin.

Leave the rainforest where it is. Check all wooden furniture and timber comes from sustainable sources.

Avoid using petrol. Hydrogen-powered cars are loved by car designers and could become a reality in about10 years.

We can always walk or cycle. The majority of car journey are less than 5 miles and honestly, once you've stepped out, you'll find it's really not that bad.

  4. I have a unit that hooks up to my washing machine. It treats my wash water with oxygen and silver to fight bacteria. This cleans my clothes instead of detergent which is mutating fish and polluting ground water. Billions of gallons of detergent laden water every day pollute our rivers and streams. Our fish ingest it. Our wild animals drink it. I haven't used detergent for almost 2 years, and yes my clothes are clean. Believe it or not they are actually softer with out the detergent build up in them. And they don't fade as fast either.

  5. A few simple ways are recycling, composte piles, not using more than you need, not dumping chemicals on the ground, driving less and walking more, the list goes on and on. The reason going green is good is because we only have one Earth and once it's gone it's gone and so are we. If everyone did just a little to help out the green movement then our planet would not be in the state it is now. If you want some more idea's on how to go green easily and freely then email me and ask.

  6. Don't eat a lot of beans and hold your breath to reduce your out put of carbon

  7. # 1: Have fewer children.

Nothing else comes close as every new child will only multiply our negative effects on the environment.

If you really want to give birth, have only one. Adopt more if you want a bigger family and you will solve more of the world's problems.

    Others:

    - Go vegetarian (or eat less meat) - It uses about 1/10 the amount of energy.

    - Drive less, and have a fuel efficient vehicle. Anything you can do to reduce your consumption of fossil fuels is a good thing.

    -

  8. recycle your car,,,buy a bike

  9. Unplug your t.v's and all other appliances when your not using them. Even when something is still plugged in but is turned off, electricity and energy is still being sent and wasted. Recycle as much as possible, buy things that say that they have been recycled.

Do not buy Kleenex tissues, for example

The owner of Kleenex,  has said she refuses to use reuseble sources, and is instead cutting down new trees to make her d**n tissues!

Replace your bulbs. Buy plants, they provide clean air in your househould, and reduce Carbon Dioxide too. Just small things make a big difference :]

  10. Don't smoke or f**t

  11. You could recycle all your cans, papers, etc. instead of just throwing them away.

Or, you could conserve electricity- only use lights, t.v.s, etc. when you need them. Turn them off when you aren't using them.

  12. I bring bags to the grocery store. I also don't use paper napkins. I use cloth napkins. I recycle as much as i can get away with. I think the less trash you make the less you imact the environment. If everyone started bringing bags to the grocery store there would be no need for plastic bags.

  13. Recycle as much as possibe. This will save people cutting down trees and using up essential fossil fuel resources.
