What are good ways to get blood stains out of clothes ?

i have a blood stain on my shirt from when i fell. what are some good ways to get it out?

For any stain of organic (natural) base I use Nature's Miracle which

you can find in Pet Stores. It is a enzyme stain remover which is

used to remove urine and f***s stains and odors from pets but I found it a fabulous stain remover for basically anything like blood, sweat

etc. I use it reguarly and it is safe for fabrics and non toxic and

good for the environment.

1) Rinse off shirt with cold water.

2) Pour hydrogen peroxide on it

3) let set for about 1-3 minutes ( No more than 5 minutes)

4) Rinse off with cold water

5) wash it regularly or just wash with dish soap

I have had good results soaking in warm water with Oxi-clean powder, then laudering as normal.

Go to the kitchen sink and pour hydrogen peroxide over the stain-it will bubble-rinse with cold water and keep doing this until the stain is gone you can add a little dishwahing liquid after a couple times and rub the material together gently-rinse and launder as usual.

Peroxide does work well, but you want the strength to bleach your hair with.   40 Volume (found at beauty supply stores) its very cheap.  The kind that is meant for medical use is too weak and watered down.  I have used Oxy-Clean powder with great success too.   Don't pay attention to the use cold water only to remove blood it doesn't work.  You need hot water and it will not set the stain.   If the shirt is white (no designs or colors on it) you could use plain old chlorine bleach (clorox) it will take it out.
