I live in a townhouse with a decent sized living room, dining area/kitchen that opens to a small deck. I'm planning a bbq party and will have about 35 people with kids. What are good ways to maximize seating without dropping a lot of money, and keeping messy little (and big) hands away from leather couches?

Thanks!!

  1. have kids outside playing, use chairs on deck and outdoors, put music and tv outside to kinda draw people outdoors. If a pool is available us it and playground. indoors cover seats with sheets or something, get runners to cover floor like .99 get clear drinks that want stain furniture add more seats if needed

  2. Go to the beach or a local park.  They usually have BBQ's and then you won't have to worry about it.  If you are gunho on having the party at your house then rent some foldable chairs and try to move the sofa's out.  Or use Sofa covers and try to rearrange your furniture and buy a couple of foldable chairs(if your thinking about more parties in the future the foldable chairs are an investment)
