What are great cable channels to get?

Question

My parents finally decided to get get and not just any cable but digital cable. There are many channels to choose from, and can any of you give some suggestions on channels and tell me which ones are just plain bad?

I like star world,axn,  disney channel, & discovery channel

you will figure it out soon enough that there are more worthless channels than good ones:home shopping, religious, community access. some of the channels that used to be good , like the MTV channels and the VH1, are just saturated with reality shows. Vh1 Classic still shows some videos but not as many as they used to, Fuse is just as bad as MTV, it was great when it was Much Music. TLC is nothing but reality tv, the Discovery channel is more reality tv.

movie channels, hd channels, music channels, like hbo, starz, showtime. if you like science get the science channel, discovery. for football theres all types of packages that let you get behind the scenes of the game and all sports. hope this helped. :)

Movie channels rock. HBO, Starz, and Showtime are perfect. Through those three you get all the awesome movies like a year after they premier. Worth every penny.
