  1. If you have an attic go up there and look at what you have, old junk, boxes, books, cards, movies, toys things your using anymore

Then try getting a table to put your stuff on, and make a sign, and stand by the road, (it works some time) and say, GARAGE SALE NEXT BLOCK or whatever

Then some people will come, and give them a flier to tell their friends, and give the people deals that are good, (not to low or to high) then in a couple days you should say most of your stuff.

Sorry if this doesn't help you, good luck. :) (fingers are crossed)

  2. Well put it out where people will be able to see it from the roads. You can advertise (posters, ad in the paper etc...)

Have large items to draw peoples attention to your sale.  Often a sofa or large item draws in possible customers that end up buying a smaller thing you want to get rid of.

  3. 1st put the cashier table (not for sale but to get your money)then make a clothes spot or a toy spot or furniture and put signs up so every1 can see and come to your yard sale!  well its simple i hope i helped good luck!

  4. Advertise in the classified ads. Put up signs a few days in advance at hot spots so people who are out and about can stop by. Start early like 7 or 8 a.m. You will need lots of tables. Organize items by clothing, electronics, tools, etc. Have lots of change on hand ($1, $5, coins). Use masking tape and a pen for marking prices.

Are you trying make as much cash as you can or are you just getting rid of stuff? Remember, it's a yard sale so be generous. A t-shirt should cost no more than a few dollars. If you hate the t-shirt, sell it for 25 cents. Something that's brand new or in good condition should always be sold for far less than it cost, so don't expect to get all of your money back on that DVD you hate. Toward noon or so, you'll see less people coming in. If necessary, lower your prices and always be prepared to bargain.

Want to be the coolest yard sale on the block? Sell refreshments.(Lemonade stand anyone?)

Cool idea: If you're selling linens, fold up sheets and towels into matching sets, stack and wrap with ribbon.

One more thing: people are more apt to buy something if it works or if it's clean. If it's busted or needs serious repair or alteration, may as well give it away.

  5. books, movies, cd's, jeans, figurines, toys,
