I gave him a choice between a SpongeBob Squarepants theme or a crazy hat party. It's just that during my googling, crazy hat party theme would not come out as a theme for kid's birthdays. I was just wondering if it's appropriate. I just think it's going to be fun to have everybody go crazy with their hats and be creative and just have fun on his birthday. What do you think? If you can also give me any suggestions, I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks!

  1. I think it sounds like a great idea, you could have like a station for them to decorate thier hats. It would be fun

  2. I think Spending quality time with his Friend's, is what is really all that is Important;  bike touring, Hiking a Trail, riding a Train.

  3. So do you mean that everyone will come to the party wearing a crazy hat or you will make crazy hats at the party? Both ideas are okay or you could do both.  We had a "wheels" party for my 7 year old.  Everyone brought their scooters, bikes, heelys etc.  We set up little swimming pool, cones and stop signs for them to race around. Have fun with whatever you do!

  4. You can have the kids wear crazy hats, or make them at the party.  Any kind of inexpensive hat will do, then give them craft supplies (feathers, beads, foam shapes etc) and some glue and let them go crazy.

For one of my sons bdays we had a pirate theme, and had a treasure map.  The boys read clues to find the pieces of the map and put it together. Then they followed the map to find the treasure (a wooden box filled with their goody bags.)  They all had a lot of fun with that.

  5. How about a pirates plunder?  I did this with my son for his 8th birthday.  We printed out the invitations on the puter to look like a treasure map.  Each child came dressed like a pirate and we provided a mustache or beard drawer and eye patches.  I also included bread stick sword fights and used picnic tables, dowels and poster board to make two ships.  Divide the group into to teams and given colored foam/soft balls they bomb each other for a set amount of time.  The team with the most balls in the other ship wins.. Walk the plank, blindfolded ect. ..Tons of games I'm sure you can come up with
