What are handlebar end plugs?

The triathlon I am doing requires them. I bought a road bike a few months ago. Would it already have the end plugs on the handlebars?

  1. those are called BAR-ENDS.

    it depends.


  2. They are protective plastic plugs that fit into the ends of handlebars, they will stop you from impaling yourself on the metal ends of the handlebars if you have a crash.
