  1. Like the girl ahead of me said...but I took a detoxifying bath and I felt amazing.

  2. Taking an herbal bath IS like soaking in a big cup of herbal tea. You are basically making an infusion and soaking in it. Your skin absorbs almost as well, if not as well, as oral mucosa and your stomach lining. When you soak in an herbal bath, you are also relaxing your muscles in addition to taking in herbal medicine. If using essential oils, the aroma is going into your lungs and through your bloodstream that way.

There are some situations where it is better to have a cold herbal bath versus a hot one. I would suggest consulting an herbalist to figure out which you should use. But if it's just for relaxation, usually a warm bath is best. Don't make it too hot, though. Hot water is bad for your reproductive system and can make you infertile if you indulge too much. It affects other systems as well. So keep it comfortable and not much above 100 degrees. Follow up any warm herbal bath with a cool/cold shower.

  3. When you take a bath in a tub full of water and herbs. If I can remember right the water has to be hot or warm, but I think it does not matter.

  4. Literally taking a bath that is like a huge cup of tea. It can be therapuetic and relaxing at the same time. They often make sleep blends for insomniacs, but there are a wide range of this.
