  1. It is a signature seasoning mixture of aromatic and flavorful herbs from south of France in the region of Provence.They are mostly composed of basil , lavander, thyme,rosemary and sage.Traditionally pack in stoneware crock.


  2. Herbs de Provence are a mixture of herbs often used in French cooking.  Although the proportions may vary, they usually include rosemary, basil, marjoram, bay leaf, and thyme.  I've seen lavender and other herbs included as well.  Usually thyme is the predominant flavor.

  3. HERBES DE PROVENCE

    Yield: 4 Ounces

    3 tb Dried marjoram

    3 tb Dried thyme

    1 tb Dried summer savory

    1 tb Dried sweet basil

    1/2 ts Dried rosemary, crumbled

    1/2 ts Crushed sage

    1/2 ts Fennel seeds

    Combine herbs, mixing well. Pack into an airtight jar (will stay

    fresh 4 months). Makes 4 ounces. *This recipe dates back to the

    1800's.*
