1. um it's not like in the us, where they have the popular kids the geeks and stuff like that. and they don't change classes as much as they do here, like they have one teacher and they don't change them that much. also, most schools only go for like 4 to 5 hours so schools don't provide lunch. some schools have buses but that's mostly the private one. hope this helped

  2. Hi and CONGRATS on moving to BA! I was in your same boat a few years back and was really nervous about moving there - due to parent's job. I went to Lincoln International School in La Lucila and it definitely was a change but not a bad one at all. It is the only school in BA that ties in American teachings and I've met most of my close friends there. You can check it out here: http://www.lincoln.edu.ar/

I was there for high school and classes are pretty similar to those in the US. They offer AP courses but in the form of IB, which is more internationally recognized but also recognized in the US. The food is pretty similar to US food. The people at the school are from alllll over the world which is very fun but all speak English and classes taught in English. The school is small - my senior class held about 60 kids but it might have grown a bit since I was there in 1999. Transportation is normal, buses to and from school. Class hours are same as US. No pickpoketers at school, but just in the city, like any other large city. BA is 'the Paris of Latin America' so it is quite large and with any large city, there is always the good and bad so always be aware when you're out at night. Groups at school always travelled together usually when we went out, (except for dates ;) The malls, movie theaters, museums are INCREDIBLE and very different but are truly amazing. :) So are the clubs - the nightlife in BA is like no other in the world. If you like clubbing, clubs typically open at 12-1ish , so this is a change also ;) But music is great! The teachers at school are all VERY cool and nice. Let me know if you have any further ?s bonitaisabel19@yahoo.com

    All the Best! :)
