i went to court today and got a protection order against an ex boyfriend who was mentally abusive and threatend to become physical abusive with me. he also has sent me text messages saying vulgar things like im glad your baby died thats what you deserve for hurting a man of god (i am currently 8 months pregnant and at the begining we thought i had lost the baby due to cramping) so if this child proves to be his what are his chances of getting unsupervised visistation of the child if any at all with a 10 year protection order against him becuase of me and having a record of violence along with past drug and alchol abuse thank you he also has 2 other children he does not support or see in 2 diffrent states!

  1. If you can present your allegations in court, you can probably avoid visitation at all, and still get child support.

I'd think about providing the letter where he refers to you "hurting a man of God" to whoever issued his credentials as such.  God may be indifferent to such things and not take direct action himself, but  someone with power might care.

  2. This all gets decided in court. Have all your proof with you when you attend the hearing.

  3. Many people will tell you to trust the courts.  You can trust the courts or trust yourself with appropriate force.  If you are dealing with a drug and alcohol character, I think you can make the decision without any of us contributing to your decision.  Fear is always a weapon to use in your self defense.
