    Just to add to cycleshopwest's answer, there is no cable to stretch and need constant adjusting.


  2. Hydraulic fluid in a pressure line actuates the clutch instead of a cable. My Wing has it and it is effortless.

  3. They are a form of clutch for a motorcycle!

Uses a master cylinder similar to your disc brake, and is less prone to problems related to binding, improper routing and corrosion like a clutch cable.  It's also easier to pull the lever, although some HD owners claim the V-Rod hydraulic clutch is more difficult than their cable style clutch, but that's because of the additional clutch pressure in the V-Rod.
