    Jumper settings in BIOS are only used when the settings in BIOS becomes corrupted, do not worry because BIOS stores new settings in a RAM which is a CMOS type. BIOS means Binary Input and Outpout System and it stores and instruct the system about the peripheral devices and booting mechanism etc. when setting in the RAM i.e., CMOS becomes corrupted then we use a jumper in the mainboard for clearing the corrupt settings and restore the company default settings. Wherein BIOS settings on monitor screen you can set your desired settings and after that these are stored in the BIOS CMOS RAM. I hope you will be now able to understand these settings. Thanks


  2. No, jumpers are a little plastic piece in the back of the harddrive near where your IDE/Signal Cable plug in. depending on where you place the jumper on the pins, is the jumper settings.
