What are laws on working on comission?

my husband used to get paid hourly, hes a plumber, but work got slow so his boss put him on commission. the problem is, that when he gets big jobs he uses him hourly, and small jobs commission. is this allowed?

sounds pretty shady to me.

this employer is not what I would consider a good one and if he is good your husband should go free lance instead of someone who is abusing the payment methods...

no...........one way or the other.........

this is slave labor..........the boss can't have it both ways........

I've been on commission since I was 21.........40 years

I'd stick it to the boss.........then break it off........

hubby needs to get his plumbing license,

keep track of all the customers,

contact them after he's set up,

also do side jobs........in the meantime
