We want to get a sponsor for our league. Sophia said the sponsor pays for the league entry fees, picks the name of the league and usually buys shirts for all of us. Is this just extra prize money?

  1. League entry fees usually are broken down as follows:

    1.  Prize fund (both cash and trophies)

    2.  Sponsor fees for the company sponsoring the entire league

    3.  Goes towards league end trip, banquet or gathering

    4.  Lineage fees to the bowling center every week (for three games)

    5.  Stipend to league secretary for services (optional)

Sponsor fees for the league go to the major sponsor of the league (insurance, service station, bank or any company that sponsors everyone bowling).

Finding individual team sponsors is up to the teams and that's how you advertise them by wearing bowling apparel with their company logo and contact information.  You have to approach them and see if they're interested in sponsoring a bowling team.  Usually the team shirts will be provided and paid for by the team sponsor.

  2. League entry fees cover costs associated with running the league which could include prizes.

  3. no it is sponsors money and the league set the fees as a whole. The shirts are advertisement for the company
