  1. Its loaded with caffiene that can cause you to become hyper and jittery. It even makes your yahoo avatar cranky!

  2. too much caffine, alot of sugar.

    =]

  3. It's not all caffeine-a lot of the energy drinks make their claims to be caffeine free. It's all the 'herbs and berries' like guarno (?)

and jungle berry juices that give you a wicked 'buzz' of energy.

Many school districts are now banning them in schools because of the studies on how it affects you. There was also a study just released on the 'vitamin' drinks-they are so overloaded with CALORIES that you have to over exercise just to burn off the vitamin drink! Not very productive.

As for your mom...listen to her! Growing teenagers, kids, young adults shouldn't even be drinking coffee or tea with caffeine...because it disrupts their sleep, upsets body rhythms, can lead to rapid energy DROP when it wears off...better to stick with natural food and drink!

  4. They are high in caffeine and sugar.  Neither one of those is particularly good for you.  Most of them are also filled with dyes that, according to some, could be harmful.

  5. They're high in caffeine and sugar, but also they take away energy from your body. They only give you a small rush, then they take away more than what you had in the first place. So in theory they do not help you at all. If you want energy drinks the best type is gatorade, only if you are doing an activity for over an hour and are going to need lots of energy to complete what you are doing such as higher intensity exercise. If you had another energy drink like the ones your mom wont let you have..they are ok once in a while just dont drink them a lot.

  6. i would drink XS. its sugar free and you can get caffeine free versions. look into it. www.xsblast.com let me know if you want some more info or how to get some

  7. Just about all energy drinks are loaded with caffeine, sugar, and other quick jolt factors. This will pick you up and give you a good run until about a few hours later, then you'll get a big crash that will make you drag four feet and feel wiped out. There are some energy drinks do what they say that do but without most of the side affects. Try 5 hour energy drink. This is supposed to do what you want it to do without the big crash. Just check around and read the labels. If they start with sugar, caffeine, then I would avoid them.

  8. The main problem with energy drinks is that most of them are basically suped up sodas. They have much more caffeine and sugar than sodas do. At least they have other more natural ingredients that are needed for energy that sodas don't though.

The next problem is that most people don't take them as they should. They drink too many. Red Bull suggests only having 1 to 2 a day. Even 2nd largest selling energy drink, which is also the first and largest healthy energy drink, XS Energy recommends against having more than 2 in a day.

In moderation and as suggested energy drinks are not that bad.

  9. Dehydration from the diuretics contained in many of them.

  10. they have lots of sugar and toher bad stuff in them
