Mandatory means you must follow or have to do or fill a true report  as a necessity and cautionary means you have to take caution not to fill false thing or report as per your wish with caution,

You have to OBEY mandatory signs - like STOP sign.

Cautionary signs just caution you - like there comes a left turn, there's an S-curve so on. Up to you if you want to obey a cautionary sign!

Ignore the mandatory signs at ur risk. Ignore the cautionary signs and play with fate!

In other words, both are two sides of the same coin.

The coin is minted to ensure ur safety! Ignore them, & buy the sure ticket to the other world!

The mandatory sign may be 'Stop, Don't Go!'

The reason is that there's a deep gorge  ahead! Ur sixth instinct (if, of course u'r a normal logical person) will force u to jam the break and NOT drive ahead! Unless u're keen to embrace death! (for u're a coward!).

The cautionary sign may indicate a speed breaker or a rumble strip ahead!

But u choose to drive at top speed over the strip. U'll then enjoy 2 possible consequences!

(i) Ur aged mom (it may be u or anybody else also in the car) sitting in the rear seat may suffer from spondilitis effected from the sudden and shocking jerk as the car takes a jump over the rumble strip!

(ii) Ur car's life span will get reduced with such rash driving.  Various parts of the car will wear off faster than usual!

Now, why should u earn this extra tension and accumulate problems when u can very well skip them by obeying the mandatory as well as the cautionary roadsigns.

Metaphorically speaking, there are many mandatory and cautionary signs which we have to obey to make our lives happy, peaceful and gain longevity.

So, u will be the better judge!
