What are map pencils??? help this urgent!?

ok, so school starts in a week and map pencils are on my list. but i have no idea what they are. if you can get a picture that would be great. please help!

Go to yahoo images and type in map pencils - you'll see that they're just colored pencils as you would use in map making (paved roads are blue, gravel roads are gray, etc)..

Map pencils are just regular colored pencils such as Crayola. (I have to get them too.)

they are grease pencils that erase from a laminated desk map.  They can be purchased at any office supply store.
