  1. While they have Jim Stynes running the club Melbourne will be a cellar dweller.

Anyway, regardless of who they pick up in the draft, anyone any good will only be kids & they wont be able to do much to improve the clubs on field performance for some time yet.

The club has no money & not many sponsors will be chucking oodles of money at a team that is dead last! They will feel the pain for some time yet.

  2. I see no improvement next year

  3. They are starting to come back a bit now, i think they will do alright next year.

  4. **Who knows what next year holds for Melbourne, or any other team for that matter.  I would like to think that they could make the eight and be an improved side, anything is possible.

Who would have expected West Coast, Port Adelaide and Fremantle would all be having the ordinary season that they're having this year after the way they played last year.

Just goes to show how quickly things can either go bad or turn good for your team, which is why I say anything is possible.**

  5. Melbourne will soak up their draft picks this year, and then relocate to Gold Coast so all their old members can rejoin the Old Boys. Get more draft picks and change the club name to Old Melburnians with red and blue colours. By the way, are there any Demons in this forum????

How about Mick Malthouse for coach too.

  6. "The only way is up"

  7. This year was melbourne's rebuilding year, with new coach new presideent and new player's. you can't always think first year coach can od a miracle and make final with lots of inexperience teams.

But I think next year will be Dees climb up ladder and after that year make the final. If it work's Dean Bailey can have new contract and Dees can may be win a premiership under Dean Bailey. I hope they can. But they are next Hawthorn.

  8. Not that good.Melbourne might move up the ladder one or two spots but nothing like the top eight.

  9. they'd be like carlton, another couple of years getting the wooden spoon and a couple of number 1 draft picks and then they would be challenging for finals and eventually mayb the premiership or then start all over again. lol

  10. well they'll definately hav a new line up, just a question of whether they'll do any betta thn they did this yr

  11. I don't know about next year, because their list will still be inexperienced. I can see them climbing off the bottom in a few years though. Give it time I say.

  12. Mate i think they are bottom dwellers for a while to come, i think they'll move Bailey on, go for some high profile coach and ad a few players but they'll take time to develope, there a couple there that will be good,  Simon Buckley is a bit of a ball magnet, Wonermearie(sorry for spelling) he needs more consistancy to his game, but will be good.  Chris A Johnson, there is another good young player in the making.

So there are a few things on the positive side for the Demons, i just feel other clubs are more advanced, like West Coast, they have some good young blokes coming through, they will be big improvers next year, no matter if Victorians like them or not, they will improve, i can see some good players there too.

So Melbournes chances are much the same as this year i think, just guessing. as that is all we can do really, but bottom 4  i think.
