What are migraines really?

I was wondering what exactly is a migraine and whats happening to your brain while experiencing one?

Someone told me migraines happen to people who's brains get bigger and your skull can't contain it, is this true?

  3. migraine are caused when the chemical sensors in the brain get scrambled kinda like a circuit board sparking out. causing the brain and other motionary sensors to fail (for a while). the brain just "freaks" out causing electrical disterbances to the motor nureo's

    like bad eye pain, lack of co ordination etc

    in a bad attack some people are left temporary blind and paralized. its not a pleasent thing
