  1. No such thing as miniature pit bulls.

However, there is such a thing as a runt, OR...

    A miniature Bull Terrier.

  2. Fake!

There are no such things as mini pitbulls, unless you count stuffed animals...

  3. Runts

  4. there's no such thing as a "mini" pit.  Pits only come in one recognized size.  There are the real American Pit Bull Terriers, and then there are the pig-hippo crosses that people call pit bulls.

You may be thinking of a Mini Bull Terrier?  Its not a pit tho.. its a separate breed.

  5. Stuffed Animals.

Staffordshire Bull Terriers are typically smaller than your standard APBT or AmStaff, but they are certainly not miniatures.

  6. There isn't such a thing as a "miniature pit bull".....but there is a Miniature Bull Terrier.  (Think Spuds MacKenzie, only smaller).  Staffordshire Bull Terriers are also usually smaller in stature than the Pit Bull.

You can also find Pit Bulls & Staffordshires that reach an adult weight of 35-40 lbs.  A "medium sized" dog was much more common, years ago, and was actually preferred.  You'd need to contact a truly knowledgeable breeder.....it's rare you find a smaller Pit Bull of correct type anywhere else.

Here's one link.  I respect this lady greatly, as her family has been in Pit Bulls for many generations and she knows her stuff.  She is also the original creator of the "Find the Pit Bull Game" online.  I don't think she breeds anymore, but she may be able to point you in the right direction if you're looking for a smaller Pit Bull:

Also, if you like the breed but want something closer in size to a tall JRT, check out the Patterdale Terrier.  They resemble a typical shorthaired terrier, but the Pit Bull was an influence in the breed long ago.  They have a lot of energy and the same kind of work ethic the Pit Bull has; they can be a handful.

  7. Non-existent?  I mean, a REAL pit is about 45lbs, if you don't get one of those fighting-bred cows (ie, Gotti, Razor's Edge lines).

You really can't find a pit under 45lbs, if there's a dog that looks similar, it's another breed.
