Question:

What are moms supposed to do?

My mom constantly complains and yells about driving us to school, practice, and other things.

We live about two miles from home, am I wrong to expect a ride? I'm too young to drive.

  1. Just ask your mother if she prefer you not be involved in school activities..... Its part of being a mother and no, she shouldnt make you feel bad.... Think of it this way - you may get a car sooner then you think ; )

  2. You sound frustrated. Maybe your mom feels a little sad and the only way she can express herself is through being grouchy. She just wants everything to be like it used to be...her schedule, her menu, her bedtimes, her weekends. Well the only way to solve this problem is to let her know you care. The cheesier the better. A handwritten poem...you can get them on-line...a handmade card...a bouquet of wildflowers or take out the trash religiously for a month. Let her see you doing things like picking up all those water bottles and dirty socks. Make yourself visible and sweet.

  3. Why don't you take the bus?  My friend lives 10 miles from my school and she takes the bus (even for sports practice).  But to answer your question, no, she should'nt b*tch.  It's not your fault.  And at least you're going to school.

  4. well, it is her responsibility because you are her child. Talk to her because communication can be the best way to solve problems. Ask her what  you should do [not in a mean way] maybe try to make arrangements with friends other people.

  5. She is probably overstressed. I know a lot of kids like this who are sick of complaining parents. For instance, a kid in my class last year named Justin spent half of his time in class yelling about how much his mom sucked. Thank your mom and see what she says. If she doesn't appreciate your thanks then I'd probably want to walk rather than listen to her rantings all of the time.

  6. Once upon a time she was a kid like you and probably wondered about her mom. She could be tired and a bit stressed.

Maybe offer to walk or ride your bike?
