  1. run straight as fast as you can and catch

  2. 9

  3. Fly/Streak/Go - Run straight up the field towards the endzone

Curl - Route that looks like a fly but the receiver will stop and turn around after a predetermined number of yards

Drag/In - Run a couple of yards downfield and turn 90 degrees toward center of field and run parallel to the line of scrimmage

Corner - Run upfield and turn approx 45 degrees away from the qb running toward the side line

Out - Similar to drag but the receiver runs to the nearest sideline

Post - Similar to the corner, only receiver turns 45 degrees to the middle of the field

Slant - Run upfield at a 45 degree angle

  4. There are:

    - Fly- where the receiver goes straight down field

    - Post- where the receiver goes straight for 10 yards and then cuts toward the goalpost

-Flag- same as a post except for the receiver cuts toward the flag (pylon)

    - Out- where a receiver goes 5-10 yards and then cuts toward the sideline

    - Curl- where the receiver goes 5-10 yards and then turns around.

    - Slant- where the receiver cuts diagonally across the field.

    - Screen- where the receiver takes 3 hard steps upfield and then turns back and goes behind the line of scrimage to receive the pass

  5. hook, post, fly, corner, out, in
