Question:

What are my chances at these colleges?

This is a basic profile.....

GPA: 4.0 (unweighted)

AP Exams taken so far: Biology(5), World History(4), U.S. History(4), Physics B(3), English Language(5), Calculus AB(5)

ACT: 31 composite, 9 on essay

SAT: 740 writing, 690 math, 680 reading (2110 total)

I played JV soccer for 2 years, have 2 part time jobs (one at the library, one teaching religious school), i am in 5 honor societies, captain of academic team, play violin and viola (have been accepted into county orchestra on both), and have done at least 150 hours of volunteer work throughout high school.....

my school doesn't do ranks but for percentages, i'm in the top 10% and mayb even in top 5% or 1%...

oh and I'm from New York....

Can I get into any of these colleges, and if so, which ones do you think will give me a lot of money (scholarships/aid)... I'm looking for about 80-100% scholarships?

1. University of Miami

2. College of William and Mary

3. Cornell University

4. Brandeis University

5. Boston University

6. Yale University

7. University of Virginia

8. Vanderbilt University

  1. yes all of them except for yale(good chance though),cornell ([good chance) and vanderbilt(good chance)


  2. I would say you can get in any of those colleges with all the the scholarships you Will need>

  3. A good shot.  However some of those schools like the ivies reject applicants like you all the time.  Apply to them all though and I suspect you will have pretty close to a dead set cert of getting into at least one.

  4. Go to Yale or Cornell, you'll be all set.  

  5. come to UM. with those grades you won't have to pay much
