I am currently a high school senior and this year I will have 5 AP classes

My GPA is a 3.6

SAT Composite: 1870 Math: 650 Reading: 620 Writing: 600

AP - US History 4, Biology 3

Now I have AP - Econ, Cal AB, Gov, Lit., Psych, and AP Phys.

I recently went a foreign medical missions trip to Africa this summer and I’m going to write about that as my essay.

The only "sport" I did was that I am an accomplished Equestrian.

I am currently a Sunday school teacher, co-founder and leader of the Teen Ministry at my church. I have sponsored numerous clothing a food drives and I am also a choir director.I was a student tutor at my high school for two years. I also had the privilege to mentor a young boy with a learning disability. On numerous Saturdays, my mornings were spent at local soup kitchens serving food to the poor and homeless. I was greatly active in the Key Club, Latin and French Clubs, Pro-Life Club and Student Council.

I plan to either major biology and minor in Economics or to double major in biochemistry and Business (I know it sounds crazy). I intend on being a pre-med student

I’m a really cool guy, I’m a little arrogant and don’t like the party scene nor smoking and drinking. I’m kinda serious especially when it comes to school.

What schools would I have the best chances in (list is NOT ranked by preference)

Emory University

Case Western Reserve University

University of Georgia - Athens (UGA)

Morehouse

Howard

Loyola, MD

Rice University

UCLA

Stanford (I know this is most def not going to happen but worth a try)

Also any tips on succeeding in college as a med student would be great

  1. I take it you are African American from your list. That will help you at many colleges.

I'd say Case, UGA, Morehouse, Howard, Loyola are no brainers, you'll get in.

Emory and Rice you will probably get in.

UCLA you will definitely not get in, both GPA and SAT are considerably below their average and they can't conside race. Stanford is highly unlikely, for a non athlete minority they wasnt a minimum 2100.

  2. go to collegeboard.com

    go to students

    then to college search.

    type in those colleges.

Then go to the link that says, Am I on Track?

Type in ALL of this information, and it will show you the averages at that school.
