  1. ummm i hate to put you down but it's going to be .... well you don't have a big chance...  Pros have been playing since 7... and you just played for like a month... it's going to also really be hard because serves are like EXTREMELLYYY important!!!! you can't just like wake up one morning and say that you want to be a pro tennis player... it takes work... but keep on trying maybe God made you a natural talent at it...

  2. If you can't serve, you're in BIG trouble. Trust me I played varsity doubles in high school and my partner could not serve and we lost EVERY match! It was really disappointing since I was a good player and could've done just fine as a singles player.

  3. No chance. Sorry, my friend. If you can't serve, there's no possible way you can do it. You barely even know what volleying means... sorry. =)

  4. Looney32, by the time you get better in tennis, your not joining the pro anymore, your end up joining the senior tournament. If you don't know how to serve the other player will stand in the middle of the court just to returned your serve. Looney 32 just stick playing with soccer and cricket for your own good. But you can still play tennis for fun, but not becoming a pro. Sorry.

  5. If you can work on your serve and get it to above 100 miles per hour, yes you have a chance in pro tennis. Do work on your serve. It's very important.

  6. Of course you have a chance, but you better be willing to pretty much devote your life to tennis.

I'm out of shape and haven't played since Sept, but if you've only been at it a month I would kick your @$$. I don't mean to be an ego maniac, I'm just saying you will need to put in a lot of work. I've been doing it for many years and am okay. The pros do it all day and are great.

Get to work and see what happens.

  7. Serves are the single most important shot in the game of tennis. Like the person above me said, if you can't serve, you can't be pro. What would Andy Roddick's bank account look like without a big serve?

Most pros on tour now turned pro at a young age (16 or 17). They start out very young... around 4-9. If you give your heart to tennis, there's nothing out there that can say "you're too old to turn pro". Just keep in mind that many pros started out very young, as it is easier to pick up new things at a young age.

Ever thought of becoming a pro soccer player? You did mention you were good. If tennis doesn't work out for you, try soccer =]

    Good luck!
