I applied for Medicaid and SSD before but was denied both. Now I applied again and this time I got approved for the Medicaid but I haven't heard anything on SSD. If there are any Disability Lawyers out there I really could use your expert opinions.

  1. I dont know what state you are in. Usually to be approved for Medicaid you would either have to have children, be ove 65 or have the approval of SSDI. Most states are like that. Others have special requirements where counties offer Adult medical needy and spenddown or what they call family planning most given to women.  Just cause you recieve medicaid doesnt meant that you can win your case against SSDI. For SSDI you have to have a medical ailment that will put you out of work for 12 months or more or can end in death. Best way to put it that you can never work again. They look at your work history as in how many quarters you worked before you filed, your income at the time and resources  and your medical ailments.  Another thing is even if you cant do the work you use to do they look at that you cant do any type of job. It is hard to get SSDI.  Example even if you loose a leg your not considered disabled you have to loose 2 limbs before SSDI will even conisider it.  If you have cancer they will look into what type of cancer you have.  But goodluck on your attempt.

  2. Social security lawyers don't charge you unless you win.  Go see one.
