  1. in order to fly for air force

you have to be physically perfect

20.20 vision  not no health defects

and you have to have quick reactions

    and be smart at math

its a very difficult road to become an airforce pilot

fedex should be reliable i guess

  2. OK buddy, One question at a time...

Go to college and earn a 4 year degree. (at the very least)

Do not for a second think that you can just join the air-force as an officer and that's it.

As a matter of fact, Get a Degree in a mathematics field.

    Good luck with that.

By the way, I don't mean to sound discouraging. Just be prepared for the Long road ahead. If you want it, take it...

Once you get going, don't stop until your flying...

  3. enlist in a C17 RESERVE squadron.  I'd suggest going into the reserves so you can go to school, get help paying for it , and get a degree while you have your foot in the door with the squadron you will be flying for later but working for right now.  After you become a loadmaster and get a degree you will already know people that can lead you in the right direction with going pilot considering you will be working and flying with them already!  Anyway, after getting a degree you will apply for a pilot slot and go to officers school.  Lots of people do it with no problem as long as you are a hard worker and give the squadron your best.  Best of luck!

understand that going air crew is not just a walk in the park

besides your regular getting into the Air Force testing you have to pass a flight physical and get a squadron to accept you.  I had to meet with the squadron before I even enlisted and take a math test.  I passed the first time but from what I was told that rarely happens.  Air crew has a high wash out rate.  You have basic training, 2 tech schools (when I went through for C5), water survival, land survival, and almost a year of on the job training.  It's going to be around a year and a half before you can start going back to school but once you are all trained and done getting your degree you will be very happy with the position you put yourself in to go pilot.  Best of luck and go talk to a recruiter! DO NOT GO IN AS GENERAL!  Make sure it's for a C-17 loadmaster slot so that you are in an aircrew slot!!!!!!!!!

    * a loadmaster is in charge of the cargo.  Upload, download, and in flight.  Also you are in charge of customs, weight and balance of the aircraft, passengers and lots of other stuff just to let you know what you would be doing if you went this way.

I'll check back to see if you have anymore questions about it ;)
