What are my chances of getting into the following NY schools?

Information: GPA - 87.6

Extra-curricular activities/clubs: 7

**President of two extra-curricular activities

Sports: 2(Winter and Spring track)

SAT(didn't do well at all): Math: 620

Writing: 550

Reading: 510

Job: Yes, part-time job.

*I have taken 2 AP classes during my junior year.

What are my chances at the following schools:

SUNY Binghamton

SUNY Stony Brook

Syracuse

SUNY New Paltz

SUNY Albany

SUNY Buffalo

SUNY Genesseo

SUNY Oneonta

NYU

Cornell

  1. I attended SUNY Albany and I had similar SAT scores and GPA as you.  While they aren't great I think you balance it well with being an athlete and working, and taking AP courses.  So, I would say you have a pretty good chance at getting accepted into it or any other SUNY school.  

    Now, SUNY Binghamton and Stony Brook are the top two and it might be tougher.  Albany and Buffalo follow, and then New Paltz, Genesseo and Oneonta.  Your best strategy is to rank them from hardest to least hardest when applying simply because you know you'll get accepted somewhere.  They usually send your application to your first choice if they deny you then the second and so on.  

    As for Syracuse, NYU, and Cornell I'm not sure.  All I can tell you is that Cornell is an IVY and they are very picky.  But also, it is the toughest school to graduate from and the suicide rate is high...  Your grades and SAT score might not help you at all.
