What are my chances of pursuing a fashion career in Spain?

I absolutely love the country and culture in Spain and I would love to study and eventually live there. However, I also dream of having a career in fashion (fashion designer or fashion editor) and I know that Spain isn't as well known for fashion like cities such as Milan, Paris, or New York. So what I'm wondering is if I could lead a successful fashion career in Spain (Madrid or Barcelona) and not have to find myself being forced to move to Milan or Paris just to keep my career alive?

Unless you go to school there, it will be very hard to take up residency there. It is difficult to live in Europe anymore. You either have to be born there, marry someone who is a resident there, or have a very in-demand job that is needed there.
