  1. If you can pay, most US colleges will except you, just not the top ones. Take the SAT's and then look on college board for schools where your scores and GPA (about 3.0) fit.

  2. Here in USA, applicants must possess the equivalent of a bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited institution (which is your current school).

As a prospective student (in USA) is expected to present a superior overall previous academic record. Other factors, such as work experience and career progression, are also important and will be considered by the Admissions Committee.

Different school has different criteria. So, you have to choose first which school you want to apply. After that, just contact the school and ask for their criteria and procedure. But usually after you contact them, one of the admission committee will help you with the admission procedure.

Here is a website about anything you'll need to know on how to apply to university in America.

    http://www.usa.gov/visitors/study.shtml

By the way, with all the grade you have now, its already amazing, but here in USA, the school will need SAT score. In that case, you will need to take SAT exam.

  3. i do not think that you'll need to retake your OL since it's not exactly important in the US applications and the numerous retaking does not look that nice on any application and will implicate the admission officer's understanding of your grades. Remember that US and UK system (igcse is UK, right!) are totally different so some admission officers wouldnt even know what you're talking about.

    So.

with a few As and Bs in O Levels and intended As in A levels Biology and Maths. First and foremost, i think you should take another A levels subject because it is a higher level that is considered equivalent to the US's AP and IB. and at least 3 A levels subjects are necessary to graduate with a high school cert.

there'll be lots of faculties accepting you in the states. It largely depends on what you wanna do and which universities you want to attend! many bio-related courses will be open for you, as well as many other social science course (like economics and history etc) because they dont require much of prior knowledge in any subjects. ANd, different courses will be under different colleges in the universities so you have to do a bit of research ;D
