What are my odds of having regular cycles by now?

I was on Depo for 2.5 years, came off of it in Feb of this year, had unprotected s*x for 3 months, but no period. Went on the pill for two months. First pack, I had a 2 day period (Friday and Saturday) Second pack I had a 3 day period starting Thursday. This is the gross part, sorry. The first period I only had liquid blood, second one, I had shreds of lining. I have heard this means you have ovulated and that's why you have shreds. I don't know if that is accurate or not. I did not start the 3rd pack, what are my odds of conceiving this time? Should I be completely regular now? I plan to buy a Ovulation testing kit in about 8 days when I should be in the middle of my cycle.

  1. You don't ovulate when you are on birth control, it is just withdrawal bleeding.

  2. Ask your doc.

  3. don't wait too long to buy the kit because the kit detects your LH surge which happens BEFORE you ovulate.... it just helps you to better prepare when to BD.  Once you get your positive opk, you generally ovulate anywhere from 12-36 hours later so you should start testing around cd10 or 11.  Unfortunately the rest I'm really unsure about!
