The surface has limited cracking and almost no chips or pop outs. It has serious discoloration. Dark blotches throughout. Had it professionally cleaned and resealed but still no change in apperance. Colder Climate freeze thaw will be an issue.

  1. Sealing it was a bad idea, it will make it almost impossible to remove the stains, now. If the surface is relatively old, like a sidwalk that has been around a while but not super rough, you might try using an epoxy finish with traction grit in it in the desired spots. If you can't do the entire driveway, and the stains are limited to a certain area, use a little imagination to make it into a creative pattern so it doesn't look like you were trying to cover something up. (Maybe two-tone?) Also, epoxy will act as a more permanent sealant, and no water means no damage unless it comes from below. Check on the container and try to avoid using something incompatible with the sealant already there, if you go that route. Good luck.

  2. After you pressure wash it again try a concrete stain.
