What are my politics?

Question

I like to think of myself a MODERATE, but here are my views.

-I'm pro-life.

-I'm against Capital Punishment.

-I'm against the Iraq war, from the start, and pretty much anti-war altogether.

-I support g*y marriage(I'm not g*y though)

-I support off shore drilling.

-I really could care less about the environment, we have bigger issues to worry about.

-I think social security should be private.

-I support gun control to the extreme.

Don't argue my views, just tell me what I am.

I'm a registered Independent.

I'd say you're registered correctly my friend. I was thinking you might be libertarian until I saw the last part about gun control. You're not associative with any party I've ever heard of. I'm registered as unaffiliated myself. Don't plan on switching...no need...

These issues really aren't useful when trying to determine your political position. Most of them could be supported equally by a Marxist, a neo-liberal or a fascist.

What's more useful are your positions on:

Taxation for different wealth levels

Workers' rights and unions

Ideal systems of governance

The free market

Global government

You're registered correctly.  The first respondent who said Libertarian, was wrong.  Libertarians believe in very strong defense, no extreme gun control and are capitalists.  

I also would like to see us privatize SS but that will never happen because too many people aren't responsible enough to take chunks out of their paychecks on their own and use it for their future.  Government dependency has taken all of that away from us.  :)
