I moved in with a friend around 3yrs ago. I pay half the rent. We both give the owner our share. Neither one of us have signed a rental agreement or lease for this apartment. She told me today that her grandson is going to move in and she wants to move him into my room in 3 weeks. What are my rights?

  1. your riqht is to say how you feel

& stand up for what you want

it is also your pacle to

do not be walked all over!

  2. its her grandson have him stay in her room, i know hes a guy but still you wanted a room of your own when u moved in. i would tell her no. but i guess it just depends on how much it bothers you

  3. All rentals with no contract are considered month to month. She has to give you one month notice.

  4. her grandson will need to be in her room.

you guys have been in equal standing for about 3 years

contact the landlord asap about this problem so he/she will be on your side

  5. You are on equal standing with her so far as the rental goes, and if she wants you out either she or the landlord will have to evict you.  And if the only reason for the eviction is the grandson moving in, you are owned reasonable moving expenses and assistance (financial) in finding and acquiring another apartment.
