  1. Yes.  Get your parents to talk to the school.

  2. You have the right to ignore the assignment and not read the book. However, doing so will likely result in a less than stellar grade.

If you want to avoid vulgar sexual content in your personal life, that is your choice, but you should not allow the content of a book, which is a required part of your education, to offend your moral sensibilities.

A big part of the reason for obtaining a higher education is to understand the world around you, not to let preconceived ideas hamstring your education.

  3. te4ll your problem to your parents.. youre still minor..

  4. Since you are still in high school and considered both a juvenile and a minor, your parents should be the ones raising heck with the school.   You can also chime in, but have your parents talk to your teacher about the questionable content you are expected to read.

  5. What is the book and is it approved by the university?  Is it listed as part of the approved curriculum? And forgive me, but I really believe you are reaching on this one.  Just looking for an easy out.  The world is full of things we don't like to do, or we have to tolerate.  Learn the difference between tolerance and acceptance, and move on.

  6. I doubt it. Asking you to participate in something immoral would be an issue, but reading about something is simply information, not participation.

Under your theory, I could refuse to participate in math class because I don't like the numbers 9 and 6.

  7. if you are in High School, ask one of your parents to have a conference with the teacher about the book

    or

you could talk privately to the teacher

or talk with the school counselor

  8. If it is a book about s*x and is required for the class, you don't have to read it, you will just not know the answers to any exam questions stemming from it.  If it is so important to you, this is an easy answer.
