Question:

What are my rights in a vehicle repo? they said there was a 10 day grace and owed 120$ now they say over 500$

Im new there 2 months and now they are saying that there is no 10 grace and i will have 2 pay 300$ in recovery and the balance of 260$ they were rude and told me tuff the owner was on vacation and all i had was" matt the collections manager and he was he owner and now do i like that!" and that i wasnt gonna be able to talk to the owner to tell him what happened. It was also a buy here pay here dealership. I asked them if i could pay the 120$ that i was soppose to pay on the van on th 6th and they said NO it was adtional 250 then 2 people later it was 300$ and tuff their is no grace period the person that sold me th van lied to bad.... I need answers im scare its only been 2 months and i dont want my credit to go bad what are my rights? please help me!!!!!!

  1. so i now guess you know what happens when you dont pay on time think you come up with the money right soon the longer you wait the less chance you havbe of getting it back


  2. you are going to get charged by the day for storage fees. If you do not come up with the money that the bank wants, the vehicle goes to a private dealer auction and whatever the car sells for (minus the fees) is taken off the loan and you will be responsible for paying remaining balance on the vehicle. You dont have any rights at all. Unfortunately, if you were late, and they had to come tow it, you will be paid for the tow and everyday it is stored. And anything you have installed (car audio or navigation) is taken as well and in their words "is now the banks property and is to be used in every effort to obtain the money you owe them. Sorry

    I had my truck repossessed last year.
