  1. Negative calorie food is an urban myth, they do not exist.  The premise is that your body will burn more calories to digest the food then what the caloric content of that food contains and that just is not the case.  Grapefruit and celery (95% water) are two examples of foods commonly tied to this myth.

  2. There is no such thing.  Thats just bs made up by the diet industry.

  3. Never heard of it. Must be like Bad Carbs or S**t like that.

  4. negative calorie foods are foods that take more calories to digest them then their actual calorie worth.

so if an apple, is 80 calories, it would take 100 calories to digest it.

    resulting in -20 calories.

some people think its made up, because i dont think theres evidence of it being true.

    but its mainly veggies.

celery and apples are all i can think of right now.

but if you google "negative calorie foods" you should get a list of food

  5. celery, lettuce, water

these have negative calories becausethey have zero calories

and when you are eating them, you are actually burning more calories than you are eating.

  6. There are empty calories. Sugars are not beneficial and puts fat on your body.I haven't heard of negative cal. and I pay attention.

  7. A myth.  Unless you count exercise... that has negative calories.

  8. "Negative calories" are a silly, hard-dying myth perpetuated by "pro ED" and "pro ana" types of websites.

    They do not exist.

There are no foods in existence which require more calories to process than they provide for the body.

If they existed (and some moronic sites essentially list all fruits and veggies as "negative calories"), vegetarians, vegans and herbivore animals would have died long ago.

  9. Sugarless gum and celery. It has negative calories because you burn more calories chewing them than the calories it gives you.
