What are nice looking cars you can get for around $10,000?

Im looking for something comfortable because I am 6'4'' but yet nice looking. I currently have a 1995 Ram but it is a gas guzzler and I have managed to save $10,000. Im only 17 and will be going to college next year. I figured it was time for a new car because I was basically working to pay for gas. Any ideas?

I'm 6'2 and had a 2000 VW Jetta VR6 that was awesome.  You can get an '04 or so with a VR6 or 1.8T that is around or less than 10k.  Very spacious cars, and I know people ***** about the reliability but I never had a *single* problem and when I got plowed into by a Suburban going 45 mph, it saved my life.

The mileage was pretty good, even for a 6 cyl.  I averaged about 30 on the freeway going 70.  You could also get a Golf or GTI.
