What are night contacts? Do they actually work?

l want to get contact lenses but l think night contacts sound way better....very interested! URGENT!

  1. Yes they do work. I have them and they are the only ones I bother with! However, if you are prone to eye infections, you shouldn't get them. Some people react badly (with nasty infections) to having them in 24/7. Also they should not be the first kind you try. If you are getting fitted for contacts, you'll need to spend a couple months wearing the regular daily kind. If you fall asleep in regular contacts it's very bad for you and it makes you feel like you have glue in your eyes. But these don't do that. Also, you should take them out once a week and put them in a special cleaning solution, the kind with peroxide and a little neutralizer. It looks like you put the contacts in a basket type thing and you leave them overnight. These extended wear contacts are REALLY convenient and comfortable though. I highly recommend them.


  2. I think you are referring to Ortho K treatment where you wear contact lenses while you sleep to reshape your cornea.  This treatment is fairly expensive, but I suggest that you ask you optometrist about it to see if you are a good candidate for it.
