I need to do an experiment for a science class that involves bean, corn, and oat seeds. I know what corn and bean seeds are but What are oat seeds? Are they the actual flakes in oatmeal? Or are they seeds like bean seeds are? I'm so lost and feel so dumb. What

about wheat seeds? I need a monocotyledonous seed and the choices I have are oat or wheat but i'm puzzled...please help!

  1. The flakes you guy as oat meal have been processed. Actual oat seeds look like this:

I don't know where you live, but if you live in a region where oats are typically grown you should be able to get seed from any farm supply store.
