  1. CARE, UNCIF, UN, Peace Corps

  2. the Peace Corps and various religious organizations.

  3. There are numerous governmental/non-governmental, religious/non-religious organizations that do work in developing countries.

How long are you looking to volunteer?  Typically the ones that are short term require you to pay a fee to assist with the overhead of having you volunteer.  It seems backwards, but these agencies are operating on a shoe-string budget.

To get a better idea of what's out there I suggest going to http://idealist.org.

If you have a college degree, want to spend 1-2 years volunteering, and have an interest in Asia, I highly suggest a program that is near and dear to my heart called VIA (http://viaprograms.org).

In a similar vein there is also Princeton in Asia.

Of course there is also the Peace Corps, if you're a U.S. citizen.

  4. If you are asking for religious groups, they are often called missionaries.

Did you mean fund-raising/volunteer internationally respected groups like the Red Cross, or an agreement with the Peace Corps?

I am not sure what your real intention is here, as these are commonly known groups.  Did I miss it?
