What are phone masts used for and what is so bad about the?

i need to know what we need phone masts for, why do people need them on schools, should they be on schools and why are they so bad to our health??

They are used to relay mobile phone signals, without them there would be mobile network coverage.

The problem is that they use microwave frequencies which are known to be bad for human health.  They chouldn't be located near schools for this reason.  All microwave frequencies provide risk to human health, hence government advice that mobile phones should not be used frequently by children.

They are not bad for you at all, the microwaves they use are by their nature their band width is very long and are not at all like what a microwave oven uses...  

Some people are afraid of everything modern, phones, cups saucers, anything modern they see as strange and scary so they mount campaign to ban all modern things.

Every generation has folk that want to go back to live like cave men, these are are scared of phone towers and they try very hard to scare others with strange and wonderful stories of how these are a disaster ... then they pretend someone some where has proof but a conspiracy is suppressing the truth..

These are sad simple folk, they need our pity....

you dont need to worry these towers are perfectly safe. The microwaves they use are not the same as in a microwave oven, otherwise they might me dangerous, but as these people fear science they hear a word, jump to a conclusion.

Like did you know water is made of two gasses, one is explosive - Hydrogen - and the other one makes things burn - Oxygen - So putting the two together sound dangerous to uneducated simple folk, but that is what water is... two questions .. 1. why is it now a liquid,   2. why dose it not burn, Imagine if we used waters chemical name they would want it banned, Waters chemical name is Dihydrogen Monoxide, Gosh that sounds dangerous

In the same way people simple minds think a technology they don't understand is dangerous - cause the little they do understand sounds dangerous...  Imagine the law suits if it was....

in 1815 they became very violent and tried to start a war to end all machine and advancement in society, the war only lasted a year or two...

They used to be called Luddites, today's lot are not often violent and no longer use the Luddite name.
