  1. a prime nimber is a number that only has two factors 1 and itself.

for example: 2 is a prime number because it's divisble by itself and i but nothing else.

but if you look at 14 that is not a prime number because it is divisble by 1,14,2,and 7.

they call these numbers composite because it is divisble by more than 1 and itself

here is a list of prime number and composite numbers up to 10:

1: (1 is not considered prime or composite)

    2: 1,2 Prime

    3: 1,3 Prime

    4: 1,2,4 Composite

    5: 1,5 Prime

    6: 1,2,3,6 Composite

    7: 1,7 Prime

    8: 1,2,4,8 Composite

    9: 1,3,9 Composite

    10: 1,2,5,10 Composite

  2. Primes are numbers only divisible by 1 and themselves. For a complete list of primes there is an algorithm called the Sieve of Eratosthenes

  3. a positive integer that is not divisible without remainder by any integer except itself and 1, with 1 often excluded: The integers 2, 3, 5, and 7 are prime numbers.

  4. Prime numbers are those numbers (greater than 1) that cannot be divided by any number except themselves and one.

  5. A prime number is a natural number and greater than 1 that has exactly only two different factors: 1 and itself.

    Ex: 2,3,5,7,11 are prime numbers

  6. It is my sincere hope and prayer that you can use the resource for which has been provided for me.

  7. numbers only divisible by themselves and one

    e.g 13 is a prime number

14 is not a prime number  because it is divisible by 7 and 2

  8. Numbers with no factors other than itself and one. Like 7 only 1 and 7 can divide into 7

  9. A prime number is has only one and itself as whole number multiples.  For example, 1*5 or 5*1 is equal to five, and that's it, so it's prime.  On the other hand, 1*6 and 6*1 equals six, but so does 2*3 and 3*2, so it isn't prime.

  10. PRIME NUMBERS are numbers that has only two factors which is 1 and itself
