What are pros and cons for the California Condor?

They are simply another species that human behavior has brought to the brink of extinction.

Pros and cons? They are just trying to survive.

I've personally seen one once in the wild. It was standing on a rock at a pull-off on highway 1 as I was driving through Big Sur.

They are very, very large birds... I wish them luck.

They are one of God's creations and are magnificent to see.  Man has nearly wiped them from the face of Mother Earth like so many other specie.

Condor's are scavengers, which some people are repulsed by. However, it is their job to help keep the environment clean.  They along with Crows, Ravens, Buzzards and others remove road kill, animals that die of natural causes in the wild and yes even in cities and towns, and some other species that are bothersome/dangerous such as snakes.

I find no cons for this magnificent specie.  May they live long and flouish.

a 4 foot wing span is enough.Back in the 80's I was a boy scout and saw them a few times flying over the valleys at campgrounds,they are huge,I guess the only con would be standing under one of them if they pooped.
