  1. Sometimes it is not about the interview questions as it is about presenting yourself. Many colleagues have received jobs from performing their teaching duties and the principal or other teacher noticing and offering a job.

Be genuine. Don't get stressed and let your passion shine through and you'll be fine.

  2. Amount of after school participation required, actual teacher work days w & w/o students, pay dispersed over 10 or 12 months, planning period duty (ie.lunchroom duty) sub finder, certification requirements, student classroom number limit, teacher aide, state retirement, sick day accumalation, staff developement benifits (ie.. tution/workshop re-embursement).

    That should get you started.

    Good luck

  3. They will also ask you for your philosophy on education.

    (along with the above answers)

  4. You mean what are they going to ask you?

Tell us about your education and experience.

What made you want to become a teacher?

How do your differentiate instruction for students at a variety of learning levels?

What do you do if you teach a lesson and find out that a small group of students didn't understand it?

How do you communicate with parents?

How do you build relationships with your colleagues?

What do you consider your strengths and weaknesses?

How do you wants students to perceive your role/ relationship to them in the classroom?
